Traditional Candles?

February 18, 2009 – 11:40 am

I remember the period of my life when I used to buy a lot of candles. I enjoyed their smell and the mood they were creating. Today, I still use them from time to time when an appropriate time comes and enjoy it a lot. However, there are many substitutes for traditional candles that give an impression of a regular candle. For example, you can buy a led candle which really looks like a real candle, but is powered by batteries and does not produce any heat. You can have a candle on your screen saver, but will it be really the same? There is nothing like the real smell of candles, whether it be forest, banana, lemon, or strawberry. It is a pleasure to feel the warmth emanating from them. I am happy that technology invents new ways to imitate candles, but I am pretty sure that many people will stick to traditional ones for now. As long as regular candles are not very expensive, they are going to keep buying them. I believe that technology improves the quality of our life, but it will be still some time before the smell of the forest will be coming from virtual candles.
