For hundreds of years there was not really an effective way to fight with mosquitoes. Of course, there were certain lotions, but you cannot really put them all over your body, and in many cases lotions might not be safe for sensitive skin. Fortunately, due to our advancement in technology we have some new ways to fight with mosquitoes.

First of all, it is important to know that pregnant mosquitoes are the ones biting. Since they are pregnant, they are trying to avoid male mosquitoes, and based on this fact scientists have come up with a solution. I am not talking about releasing male mosquitoes, but rather a device that would emit the sound of a male mosquitoes wings in order to scare away all of the biting mosquitoes. It is relatively easy to do and it should work, but it is not perfect. The pregnant mosquitoes will be repelled by the sound of a male mosquitoes, but on the other hand they will also be attracted to humans. That is why this method does not always work, as some pregnant mosquitoes might be determined to bite a human so much, that they will ignore the sound being produced. Anyway, I still think that this method is very interesting and can be useful in many cases.
