System Restore

If you use your computer on a daily basis and install a lot of new programs, then sooner or later something bad can happen to your system. If your computer starts to work sluggishly and unsuspected restarts occur, there are two things you can do. First of all, formatting your hard drive and installing Windows from scratch will do the trick. However, there is also another solution, namely System Restore. Basically, System Restore automatically tracks changes to your computer’s registry and creates restore points before major changes are to occur. Using system restore is quite easy. You just have to go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.  Simply choose the time to which you want your computer’s registry restored to.
System Restore can be useful in many situations, as there are many reasons something will go wrong with your computer. One of the biggest reasons is installing incompatible drivers or programs. Some programs don’t work well with each other, and I encountered situations where some security programs where interfering with each other and causing problems with Windows. You will not have to worry about it if you use System Restore, but take into account that it requires some space on disc C.
