If you live outside of Europe, you might not know what I am going to tell you about. However, even if you live in Europe, you might also not know about this if you do not play online games. Anyway, I would like to share with you something very interesting. If you visit the main site of the online MMORPG Cabal Online Europe, you will see on the home page an icon representing the European Union, and the information that this project is partly financed by this political organization. I find it quite surprising, as I never would have I expected organizations like this to support online games. I would rather expect them to support educational endeavors like, for example, libraries. I am glad that some people change their views on online games and do not see them as harmful anymore. Generally speaking, in most cases those people who are against computer games have never played them before, and therefore might not understand what games are all about. The era of playing online games started only around 10 years ago, and we can see such games gaining a lot on popularity throughout this time. No wonder that many people still do not know what an MMORPG is, as online games are just emerging.
