Free or Subscription Based Games?

There is an increasingly high number of free games available, especially when it comes to online games. Games like Dungeon runners, Silkroad, Cabal Online, and Hero Online are a prime example of that. The question is whether it is better to play those free games or subscription based games. In my opinion, it depends on the player, because if a person has a lot of spare time on his hands, it is better to play high quality games that are usually subscription based. On the other hand, if a person only wants to play from time to time, then there is no point in spending money. It is also important to understand that there are some problems with free games such as a larger number of cheaters and hackers. Cheaters are not afraid that they will get banned, because creating a new account is easy and completely free. Another big problem are gold farmers, which farm in-game currency, and later sell it for dollars and euro. Many believe that this ruins the economy, as those who buy in-game currencies can buy anything in the game. On the other hand, those players who are not willing to spend a lot of real cash are disadvantaged. Anyway, there are measures taken against such actions, so it is not a reason to give up on multiplayer games.
