Change The Way the Files are Displayed
December 4, 2008 – 10:37 amIn Microsoft Windows you have a choice to arrange the description of your files in a way that you like it. You will learn that you can see your files in the following formats: with a thumbnail view, tile view, icon view, list view as well as details view. The thumbnail view will enable you to see what is actually in the document and will provide you with a sample of it. If the document is in a .jpg format, you will see a miniaturized version of the real file. In the tile view, on the other hand, files only show basic information such as name and size. In icon view the icons will look similarly to your desktop. In List view, as the name suggests it, the files are composed into a list and list view takes a lot less space than tile view and icon view. In details view you will see how much space each file is taking. It is up to you to make up your mind and choose what suits you the most. You may want to choose different setting for different folders, depending on what type of files you are dealing with, and how many files are there.
